Summer in Muskoka is finally here!

Blog by Ragan Zilic Lovegrove | July 21st, 2017

Hi everyone,

Summer in Muskoka is finally here. I am so excited to see the sun!

I wanted to let you know about a few things that you could do this month in fabulous Muskoka.

This Saturday there is a street festival in Baysville which cannot be missed. Over 100 arts and crafts Vendors, food and refreshments, and so much more.
Opened at 9:00am - 4:00pm. It’s so much fun for the family and I know it is going to be a perfect sunny day!

Have you been to any Farmers markets yet? You know I love organic fresh food, and in Muksoka we are surrounded by amazing fresh food. I would recommend going to the Muskoka North Good Food market in Huntsville. It is a co-op and needs our support as they prepare for some renovations – it is going to be incredible!

The Artful Garden is so special. I took my mom and niece last year and we had such a wonderful time. There are so many incredibly talented people in our area - but you already knew that.

Now that the sun is out it is the perfect time to go on an actual steam ship boat ride on one of our large lakes. Over 100 years old, the R.M.S Segwun, the Wenonah and the S.S Bigwin will take you back in time.

Did you know that Hawksley Workman, Natalie MacMaster, David Wilcox and so many more are coming back to Muskoka?

And finally how about something for your fur baby?
Muskoka now has it’s own dogfest and the profits go towards helping animals, how great is that!

Next month I am going to be interviewing the owner and creator of Belly Ice Cream. I have been enjoying her Ice Cream for 10 years when I saw it in Puszateris and Summerhill market in Toronto, little did I know she is right here in Huntsville Muskoka. So much fun!
P.S. she has Gluten Free flavours too.
