Novar

The small town of and Novar boasts one of the Highland's and Ontario's greatest natural attractions, Brooks Falls, which is located to the north and east of Novar on Deer lake road. It is a place of untouched wilderness beauty, where the waters of the Magnetawan River surge through a narrow chute.

Surrounded by a small park, it is undisturbed by modern development. A visit to Brooks Falls allows you to experience the might of the Magnetawan as you enjoy a picnic close to the shore and are cooled by mist and spray. If you are just a bit more adventurous, you can follow one of several walking trails that follow the path of the tumbling river and the many rapids that lie upstream.

The surrounding area has many small lakes and offers excellent fishing for Bass and Trout, as well as canoeing and kayaking. Novar also has a well stocked Supermarket that sells beer, wine and liquour. There is easy access to the Seguin Trail, Park to Park Trail - both summer and winter, for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing or snowmobiling.
