"This unique 1920’s Muskoka estate; built in 1923 has been maintained to honour it’s original glory and has stood for almost 100 years. The estate was meticulously hand crafted with rare imported Douglas Fur and Western Cedar found only in British Columbia at the time, inside and out. The outside, painted jet black and accented with white is nothing short of stunning to view and for the time was a way to show passers by the extravagance that was “The Boathouse” - A nickname coined and passed on by friends and family. The builder, a wild old sea captain and true sailor himself, wanted every little detail in the building to represent and mimic his love for sailing.
