Day Camps in the Lake of Bays Area

Day camps are a great way for your children to have their own adventures while you are renting a cottage. With camps ranging from sport specific to a general outdoor adventure camp, there is sure to be a day camp for every camper! We have compiled a list of 7 Muskoka day camps in the Lake of Bays area that appeal to a range of ages and campers.

1. Lake of Bays Sailing Club

LBSC runs for 8 weeks through the summer, starting in July and running until the end of August. There are a range of competitive and recreational streams for sailors aged 7 and up. LBSC offers the CanSail program, enabling campers to work towards achieving their levels. In addition to daily sailing, there are weekly Activity Nights at the club for all sailors, and there is an opportunity to compete in regattas with other sailing clubs in the area.

2. Town of Bracebridge Summer Camps

Bracebridge offers a range of summer camp programs including a Summer Fun Camp and a number of specialty camps including canoeing, ball hockey, tennis, golf, climbing, horseback riding and more!

3. Lake of Bays Tennis Club

LBTC has a range of tennis programs including Jellybeans (aged 5-8) which includes games, tennis, swimming and arts and crafts, as well as the Junior and Teen tennis programs for ages 9 and up that focus more on tennis and have tournaments throughout the summer.

4. Tawingo Day Camp

Want your children to have the experience of a traditional summer camp without the sleep away portion? Tawingo offers just that with a range of programs for ages 6-12. Every camper is assigned a cabin group at the start of their camp session, and they will rotate through activities with that group the whole time they are at camp. With activities including swimming, boating, hiking and arts and crafts, Tawingo has a program that appeals to a range of campers.

5. Kawagama Day Camp

This camp is located in Dorset and has programming for children aged 7-12. They share programming and facilities with Moorlands Camp. Every week there is an opportunity for day campers to spend the night for a hike and a cookout! KDC has a range of summer activities for campers including kayaking, music, wilderness skills, swimming and a low ropes course.

6. Arrowhead Camp

Arrowhead Camp in Algonquin Park is a well known residential camp that has recently launched a day camp program for kids aged 5-12. Arrowhead offers power sports (Wakeboarding, Water Skiing, Wake Skating and Knee Boarding), tennis, archery, swimming and more to their day campers!

7. Town of Huntsville Summer Camps

The Huntsville Youth Summit Summer Camp has programs for aged 3-12. Themes and activities change weekly, but campers are guaranteed to have lots of fun!
