Rainy Day Activities in Muskoka

Blog by Ragan Zilic Lovegrove | July 4th, 2015

Even though we picture summer as having sun every day, there is the occasional day where Muskoka receives a little liquid sunshine! Some may be content to curl up with a book in a Muskoka Room, but here are 3 recommendations for family-friendly indoor activities in Muskoka.

1. The Play Pit Muskoka
Opening soon - this will be Muskoka's first and only indoor playground! Located in Bracebridge, this will be a perfect spot for your little ones to blow off some steam and make new friends!

2. Libraries
With wonderful libraries in many communities across Muskoka, there is often programming available for free or low cost to children of all ages. Check out the programming pages for Huntsville, Bracebridge, Baysville and Dwight libraries to plan some rainy or sunny day activities!

3. Muskoka Heritage Place
With a number of attractions at MHP, with two museums, a pioneer village and a feature exhibit of Muskoka at War, there is more than a days worth of entertainment. Located in Huntsville, Muskoka Heritage Place is an easy drive from most of our cottages, and can be enjoyed rain or shine!
