What's selling on the bigger lakes in Muskoka?

Blog by Ragan Zilic Lovegrove | November 1st, 2015

Recenently I was asked if Cottage Real Estate on the bigger lakes is busy right now?

I know that I have slowed down the last 2 weeks beacuse of the weather change ....yes we just had snow in Muskoka!  I also know that when I have previewed cottages on Lake of Bays, Lake Muskoka, Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph that many of them have been closed up for the season; the docks are in, the deck furniture is stored and the BBQ cover is on.  So is Muskoka Real estate busy right now or not?

I looked at the stats and this is what I discovered:

Since October 1, 2015 - November 2, 2015:

Lake Muskoka (the largest of all the lake in Muskoka)
21 cottages have sold.  The price range has been from $215,000 - 3.7M

Lake of Bays (the second largest lake in Muskoka)
5 cottages have sold.  The price range has been from $390,000 - 2M

Lake Joseph
3 cottages have sold,  The price range has been from $1,025,000 - 4.5M

Lake Rosseau
5 cottages have sold.  The price range has been from $145,000 - 1.34M.
